Isudo, a small island near Geoje city in South Korea, offers a unique '1-night-3-meals' experience where travelers enjoy sumptuous seafood feasts three times a day at local guesthouses (called "minbak" in Korean). This concept has turned Isudo into a popular tourist destination, attracting up to 1,200 visitors a day to the island of just over 100 residents. While the practice started as a service for visiting fishermen, the word has spread, making it a culinary attraction. Various guesthouses serve distinct meal styles ranging from traditional Korean dishes including a selection of seafood caught locally and prepared fresh. This travel experience is highly recommended for food enthusiasts, but not ideally suited for those currently dieting. The island also offers scenic walks and charming village views to complement the culinary journey.
