Gwangju Celebrates Independence Movement with AI-Created Music Concert

The Gwangju Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs is hosting a concert titled 'Singing Liberation' on November 11th at the Gwangju Art Center, commemorating the 80th anniversary of Korean Independence. The event will feature music composed using artificial intelligence to reflect the emotions and structures of Korean resistance poetry from the Japanese colonial period. The concert includes performances by the band Akdangwangchil, known for Korean traditional and resistance-inspired music, along with appearances by Roy Kim, the Lee Mi-hee Phil Dance Company, and hip-hop dance team Ahner Breakers. The event is free for all with prior registration.
