Kim Young-mi, a renowned South Korean mountaineer and member of The North Face athlete team, successfully completed a solo ski expedition across the Antarctic continent. She covered a distance of 1715.7 km, beginning her journey from Hercules Inlet on November 8 and reaching the South Pole without additional supplies by December 27. After receiving a small resupply of food and fuel, she continued on to the Leverett Glacier, completing her expedition in 69 days. This remarkable achievement highlights her endurance and the spirit of exploration. Kim described her journey as a reflective experience but emphasized the support of good people around her.
