Kim Young-mi, a renowned South Korean mountaineer and member of The North Face athlete team, successfully completed a solo ski expedition across the Antarctic continent. She covered a distance of 1715.7 km, beginning her journey from Hercules Inlet on November 8 and reaching the South Pole without additional supplies by December 27. After receiving a small resupply of food and fuel, she continued on to the Leverett Glacier, completing her expedition in 69 days.
