Special Exhibition Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Liberation, 'Lee Sang-ryong and Imcheonggak', to be Held in Seoul Next Month

A special exhibition celebrating the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation will be held in Seoul, focusing on the contributions of Lee Sang-ryong, the first Prime Minister of the Provisional Government of Korea. The exhibition, organized by Seoul and Andong municipalities, showcases 90 items, highlighting Lee's involvement in the independence movement and his profound spirit of patriotism. Lee, who founded Shinheung Military Academy to lead armed resistance against Japan, is noted for embodying 'noblesse oblige' (the moral responsibility of those in a high social position). The exhibition also features historical records of Imcheonggak, Lee's birthplace, renowned for producing numerous independence activists.
