The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in South Korea is launching a special summer event to promote seafood consumption by offering discounts. The 'Korean Seafood Expo-Summer Vacation Special' runs from July 28th to August 21st. Consumers can enjoy up to 50% discounts on various seafood including abalone, eel, flatfish (known as gwang-eo), and rockfish (known as u-reok). Traditional markets across the country also offer refunds with a limit of up to 20,000 won in Onnuri gift certificates for purchases made and verified at designated refund booths.
