Due to the ongoing record heat waves, cooling products have become essential items in South Korea during the summer. Shinsegae International's lifestyle brand 'Jaju' reported a significant sales growth in cooling products compared to the previous year. Notably, 'cooling blankets' saw a 230% sales increase. These blankets use fabric that provides instant coolness and helps regulate body temperature. Cooling undergarments and fast-cooling handheld fans are also selling well. Jaju's 'cool mold bra', made from rayon (a lightweight fabric), topped the underwear sales. Additionally, cooling care products like the 'Pine Scalp Deep Clean Hair Line' have gained popularity for reducing scalp heat and odor. As extreme heat is expected to continue, the company plans to increase stock and marketing efforts for these products.
