Korea-U.S. Tourism Partnership Strengthened in Seoul

The Brand USA, known as the U.S. Tourism Board, hosted the "2025 Korea Sales Mission" on November 21-22 at the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square, Seoul. The event, attended by 25 U.S. partners, highlighted collaboration with Korean travel agencies through personalized travel product development and education sessions targeting the online travel agency market. Malcolm Smith from Brand USA emphasized the importance of Korea as a strategic market for U.S. tourism. In 2024, 1.7 million Koreans visited the U.S., a 6% increase from the previous year, placing Korea as the 7th largest overseas market for American tourism. The initiative aims to increase Korean tourism to the U.S. further by showcasing upcoming American events and attractions, including sport events and cultural celebrations.
