Cosmax Partners with Yunnan Province for Herbal Ingredient Development

Cosmax, a global cosmetics ODM company, has signed an agreement with the People's Government of Midu County in Yunnan Province, China, to develop and supply cosmetic materials. Yunnan is rich in medicinal plants, and Cosmax will use over 100 types of herbs from the region to create custom cosmetic ingredients suited to local climate and skin characteristics. The company aims to secure a stable supply chain by expanding collaborations with local universities and government institutions and plans to build a 'China Skin Omics Platform' for analyzing Chinese skin characteristics. Cosmax is also working with Fudan University and Beijing Technology and Business University on joint research on sensitive skin, aging mechanisms, and skin microbiome.
