KORAIL Tourism Development Collaborates to Boost Tourism in Haenam

KORAIL Tourism Development has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Haenam County and the Korea Tourism Association to enhance tourism in Haenam, South Korea. The partnership aims to establish a railway-based tourism ecosystem, using the soon-to-be-completed Haenam Station as a central hub. Planned initiatives include collaborative development of tourist train packages and extending stay-focused tourism products. The key theme, 'Train Journey Connecting Lands' will guide tours to attractions like Daeheungsa Temple, Dalma Trail, and Ttangkkeut (Land's End) Observatory. Unique experiences, such as marine meditation and temple stay programs, will also be offered to promote local economic growth. Experts at a subsequent forum discussed strategies to leverage railway infrastructure for strengthening tourism in Haenam.
