CatchTable, a restaurant reservation platform in Korea, released its 'Summer Health Food Trend' report, revealing popular summer dishes beyond traditional mainstays like samgyetang (Korean ginseng chicken soup) and eel. The report shows increased interest in various chicken dishes such as jjimdak (braised chicken), dakgalbi (marinated chicken ribs), and yakitori (Japanese-style grilled chicken). With 79% of customers waiting at chicken dish restaurants during the peak summer months, these dishes remain highly popular, especially for office workers seeking convenient meals during the week. The search for duck dishes like Peking duck also rose by 23%, indicating a diversification in choices for summer health foods.
