On August 16th, the Risus Quartet will hold its 4th regular concert at the Seoul Arts Center, featuring works by composers like Rachmaninoff, Dvorak, and Kevin Puts. Formed in 2020, this string quartet, named after the Latin word for 'laughter,' has won recognition in numerous competitions. The concert will explore emotions of nostalgia through various compositions, starting with Rachmaninoff's only string quartet piece. It will also feature the Korean premiere of Kevin Puts's 'Home', inspired by the pandemic, and conclude with Dvorak's piece reflecting his return to his homeland. The quartet aims to evoke feelings of longing, urging the audience to reminisce about cherished memories.
