The beautiful trail from Joryeongsan (1,026m) to Sinsunambong (939m), located on the border of Goesan, Chungcheongbuk-do and Mungyeong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, features razor-edge ridges and unique rock formations that attract hikers and rock climbers. This approximately 8-kilometer hiking route, which includes a trip back to the starting point, offers stunning views of surrounding mountains such as Mungyeong Saejae, Wolaksan, and Juheulsan, known for their breathtaking landscapes. Along the trail, hikers can visit landmarks like the Chorongdae, the highest viewing platform, and enjoy the enchanting scenery where Korean historical figures once traveled. Despite its challenging terrain involving rocky paths and rope sections, even beginners can explore it with some caution. The journey can be started from Iwharyeong, with the trail being steeped in historical significance as it follows parts of the old Yeongnamdaero, once used by scholars traveling to the capital during the Joseon era. After the hike, a popular tradition includes enjoying kongguksu (a cold bean noodle dish).
