First Public Display of Japan's Surveillance Cards of Korean Independence Fighters

In a special exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of Korean independence, 'Faces Rediscovered', the National Museum of Korea and the Korean History Compilation Committee will reveal "Surveillance Cards of Key Figures" for the first time to the public. These cards, created by the Japanese government during its occupation of Korea, contain detailed information of independence fighters such as Ahn Jung-geun and Yu Gwan-sun, including photos and records from their arrests. The exhibition, which runs until October 12th in Seoul, features important documents and AI-rendered videos that bring iconic independence figures to life with smiles, symbolizing the long-awaited liberation of their homeland.
