Lotte Wellfoods, formed by the merger of Lotte Confectionery and Lotte Foods, is planning to sell its bakery business to focus on future investments. The sale includes production facilities in Suwon, Busan, and Jeungpyeong, and the company is targeting a price around 100 billion KRW (approximately 75 million USD). This move follows operational overlaps after the merger. Lotte Wellfoods plans to reinvest the proceeds into expanding an ice cream plant in Cheonan. Previously, they collaborated with a TV show 'Jungnyeoni' for a special bakery product 'Jungnyeoni hoppang.'
