Mastroberardino winery, a pioneer in producing Taurasi since 1878, is celebrated for elevating its status globally. The winery is located in the Apennine mountains, taking advantage of volcanic soil, which contributes to the wine's longevity potential—up to a century. Piero Mastroberardino, the 10th-generation owner, continues the family's tradition of preserving native grape varieties, being an artist as well as a professor.
