Korean artist and former business executive, Lee Shi-hyung, returns to the art scene after 15 years with his solo exhibition titled "Mixing, The Aesthetics of Long Waiting and Nongak (traditional Korean farm music)" in Seoul. Known for promoting communication in his business career, Lee now explores the theme of mixing in art, blending cultural and generational experiences. The exhibition includes artworks created in 2009 that focus on the natural mixing of colors on canvas. Lee plans to shift from painting to media art, aiming to integrate Korean values into global art and business models through new innovative expressions. His art will soon showcase the energy of Korean Nongak as a media art performance, highlighting Korea's narrative from agricultural to industrial society. Lee, at 81, looks to pioneer the media art era, following in the footsteps of Nam June Paik, who introduced video art.
