Father and Son Artists Ryu Kyung-Chae and Ryu Hoon: Solo Exhibition at Hakgojae Art Museum

Hakgojae Art Museum in Seoul's Jongno District is hosting a dual exhibition titled 'Empty-Coexistence' featuring works of father and son artists Ryu Kyung-Chae (1920-1995) and Ryu Hoon (1954-2013) until next month. The exhibition includes 15 abstract paintings by Ryu Kyung-Chae and 24 sculptures by Ryu Hoon. Ryu Kyung-Chae, initially known for his lyrical landscapes, shifted to non-figurative paintings post-1960s. Notable works such as 'Wish 95-2' (1995) and 'Festival 92-5' (1992) are displayed. Ryu Hoon, who began with human sculptures, evolved his style to geometric forms with pieces like 'Symbol of Coexistence' (1998).
