South Korea's fashion brand 8Seconds, under Samsung C&T Corporation, has opened its first overseas store in Manila, Philippines, at the SM Mall of Asia. This marks the brand's return to the international market after exiting China in 2018. Partnering with leading local retailer Suyen Corporation, 8Seconds plans to open two more stores in Manila by the end of the year due to the high interest in Korean content and the youthful demographic with potential growth in the Philippines. The brand aims to explore more business opportunities in Asia. The move is expected to resonate well with the Southeast Asian Generation Z, according to Brian Lim, Vice President of Suyen Group.
