The 1st Yeonghonam Exchange Exhibition, themed 'Yeongsan River and Nakdong River, Opening the Path of Harmony,' is taking place from November 10 to 16 at the Nabilera Culture Center and Naju Culture and Arts Hall. This exhibition aims to foster artistic exchange and regional harmony between artists from Yeongnam (typically refers to the southeastern region of Korea, including cities like Busan) and Honam (the southwestern region of Korea, including cities like Gwangju). It features 28 artists from Busan and 53 from Gwangju and Jeollanam-do. The exhibition showcases a variety of artworks, including ink wash paintings, watercolors, calligraphy, and ceramics. Highlights include a performance by artist Hong Jin-joo and a special award ceremony for artist Jeon Hana's work 'The Solitary Island's Monologue'. The exhibition's theme emphasizes the unity and understanding that art promotes between diverse cultural backgrounds.
