Actor-Singer Ong Seong-wu Debuts in Theater with Kim Hyang-gi

Ong Seong-wu, an actor and singer, makes his theater debut alongside actress Kim Hyang-gi in the play 'Shakespeare in Love' at the Seoul Arts Center. The play, set in 16th-century London, imagines the young Shakespeare encountering a noblewoman, Viola de Lesseps, which inspires him to start writing again. Ong and Kim previously worked together in the 2019 drama 'Moment of Eighteen.' Ong and Kim have expressed their excitement and challenges about their roles as Shakespeare and Viola. The play will run until September 14th, showcasing a dynamic and engaging performance. 'Shakespeare in Love,' based on the 1998 film, has been internationally acclaimed and returns to Korean audiences after a successful premiere in 2023.
