Korean Everland's Twin Panda Rui Bao & Hui Bao Celebration

On July 7th, 2023, twin giant pandas Rui Bao and Hui Bao celebrated their second birthday at Everland, Korea's amusement park operated by Samsung C&T (a South Korean company). To mark the occasion, their keeper Kang Cheol-won prepared gifts that included a large bamboo cake, cooling toys like ice rocks (blocks designed to keep the bears cool) and bamboo playthings. This birthday is particularly meaningful as it might be the twins' last with their mother before they become independent, which typically happens between 1.5 to 2 years of age for pandas. These pandas were born to mother Ai Bao and father Le Bao, and have grown impressively in weight from 180g and 140g to around 70kg each. Everland plans a special 'Happy Bao's Day' event celebrating the panda family's birthdays throughout July. Various activities focused on the pandas, including interactive games and merchandise, are organized both in-person and online for visiting fans.
