The musical 'Eun-kyung', depicting the life and dreams of North Korean youth, is being performed in Seoul and Daegu. Based on the North Korean 'Anne Frank's Diary', this work follows a North Korean high school girl’s escape story. The musical gains attention through its support by Se-ri Pak, a former professional golfer, who aims to inspire all young people across borders. The story is set in Yanggang Province, North Korea and follows a 17-year-old girl, Eun-kyung, who dreams of studying music, against the backdrop of North Korean society. The musical portrays realistic snippets of life in North Korea, while reducing the use of North Korean dialect to lower barriers for viewers.
