In contrast, MegaMGC Coffee and several others lag significantly behind. The hygiene rating system in South Korea, managed by the Korea Food Safety and Management Certification Institute, offers rankings of 'excellent' for scores over 90. Many franchises from various sectors like coffee, burger, and pizza, participate in this voluntary certification system, which is seen as crucial for consumer safety. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety plans to expand participation in the system in collaboration with franchise associations.
