Korea National Symphony Orchestra Touring Performances at Six Welfare Centers

Korea National Symphony Orchestra announced a touring performance series called 'Companion,' bringing classical music to six welfare centers for people with disabilities in the Seoul and Gyeonggi regions in July and November. The program, which aims to offer cultural experiences to underrepresented groups, will feature young disabled artists like violinist Park Moses and violist Woo Jae Seung performing alongside the orchestra. The repertoire includes familiar tunes from Disney films and musicals, as well as works by Dvorak and Piazzolla. Newly introduced mentoring programs will facilitate artistic exchanges between disabled musicians and members of the National Symphony. To accommodate visually impaired audience members, an audio description service has been included since June. The Symphony Orchestra aims to make classical music accessible to all, striving for inclusive and boundaryless engagement.
