Nowon-gu in Seoul is set to officially open a new forest retreat called 'Surakhu' on the 17th of this month. Developed with an investment of approximately 231 billion Korean Won, the retreat has already garnered significant interest, with reservations filling up within three minutes of opening last month. Rooms are allocated preferentially to local residents before being made available to the general public every month. The retreat offers various facilities, including a picnic area by the creek and a children's forest experience center. To enhance its service quality, Nowon-gu has incorporated feedback from guests and employed experts with a hospitality background. In the future, additional experience facilities like an unobstructed forest trail and a forest healing center are planned.
