Spanish new space company Zero 2 Infinity is establishing a branch in Korea to commercialize its space tourism service using balloon-like vehicles. The company aims to send passengers to the stratosphere, about 8 to 50 km high, with costs estimated at about 160 million KRW (Korean Won) per person. The service is not yet commercially available as it is in the test flight stage, reaching up to 32 km in altitude for unmanned flights. Before space travel commercialization, Zero 2 Infinity Korea plans to offer services such as the 'byeol' project, which involves scattering pet ashes at high altitudes in partnership with a local pet funeral company, using biodegradable materials. The CEO emphasized Korea's advanced education and industrial capabilities as reasons for choosing it for this venture.
