Yongsan-gu Unveils Pedestrian-Friendly Street in Yongridan-gil

Yongsan-gu in Seoul has opened a pedestrian-friendly street called 'Donghaeng Street' in Yongridan-gil, aimed at enhancing safety and appeal for citizens. The street, spanning 1.6 km from Sin-Yongsan Station to Samgakji Station, features a 'Healing Shelter' around three 180-year-old ginkgo trees, providing a cultural and recreational space. Approximately 100 people, including local officials, residents, and merchants, attended the opening ceremony. The project also includes improved pedestrian safety measures such as new sidewalks and solar markers for nighttime visibility.
