Twenty original Korean genealogical documents (jokbo) from before the mid-1600s are set to be revealed to the public for the first time. These documents include unique records like the "Cheongsong Sim Clan Genealogy" (1545) and "Goryeong Shin Clan Genealogy" (1578). The unveiling aims to highlight their historical importance and to support their designation as UNESCO World Heritage. Distinguished families have preserved these records well, capturing intricate family ties and providing insights into Korean noble lineage and historical figures. Organizers argue these genealogical records contain authenticity, uniqueness, and irreplaceability deserving of global recognition.
