Opening of Designated Beaches in Gyeongju and Pohang

Gyeongju and Pohang, cities in Gyeongsangbuk-do province, South Korea, will open four designated beaches starting July 11. Gyeongju will open beaches like Najeong-Gounmorae, Bonggil-Daewangam, and Gwanseong-Solbat until August 17. Pohang will follow with eight beaches including Yeongildae and Songdo reopening after 18 years. 78 safety personnel will be deployed to ensure visitor safety. Officials emphasize prioritizing convenience and safety for beachgoers.
