Perfect Train Journey Along the Donghae Line: Explore East Coast Attractions

To commemorate the opening of the Donghae Line (from Gangneung Station to Bujeon Station) on January 1, a special tourist train capturing the charm of the east coast will operate. Organized by Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and the East Coast Tourism Promotion Council in collaboration with Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail), the train will run temporarily on the 17th from Busan and Ulsan, and on the 19th from Donghae and Samcheok.
The train aims to enhance interregional exchange and increase tourism demand along the Donghae Line. The trip introduces passengers to attractions such as Samcheok Daegeumgul Cave, Gangwon Comprehensive Museum, Donghae Mureung Valley, and Mukho Market. The train departing on the 19th enables tourists to choose courses toward either Ulsan or Busan, featuring attractions like Daewangam Park and beer brewery tours in Ulsan, or yacht tours and sushi buffet meals in Busan. Onboard events include a gift selection area and self-photo booths, along with a café showcasing local specialties.
The package has seen high demand, reflecting interest from Busan and Ulsan residents in exploring Gangwon Province's tourism offerings.
