Renowned French novelist Bernard Werber is making his tenth visit to South Korea, this time to partake in a unique project that combines literature and classical music. On August 27th, Werber will perform as a reader at the 'Chimera Era: Imaginary Future of New Human' event as part of the 'Hic et Nunc! Music Festival' at Seoul's Arts Center Concert Hall. The project involves a reading of his new book 'Land of the Chimera', which is about human-animal hybrids following a fictional third world war. Accompanied by music from composer Kim Taksu, inspired by Werber’s novel, the event highlights the fusion between literature and music, a concept Werber is enthusiastic about due to his upbringing surrounded by classical music. Werber’s performances will also be held in Daejeon, Gwangju, Sejong, Busan, and Daegu, broadening his reach to South Korean audiences.
