Musical 'Laika', True Story of First Space Exploration Dog, to Debut in March

The musical 'Laika', depicting the true story of the first space exploration dog from the Soviet Union's Sputnik 2 mission during the Cold War, will make its world premiere on March 14 at the Doosan Art Center in Seoul. The play features Laika's encounters in space with non-human characters, like the Little Prince and a rose, and addresses themes through these interactions. The creative team includes writer Han Jung-seok, composer Lee Sun-young, and director Park So-young. Prominent Korean actors such as Park Jin-joo and Kim Hwan-hee star as Laika, while Jo Hyung-kyun and Kim Sung-shik take on the role of a prince grown-up hating humans.
