Record High Temperatures Draw Crowds to Gangwon's Beaches

The first weekend of July saw over 71,720 vacationers visit 23 beaches across Gangwon Province as temperatures soared, with Bukgangneung reaching a record high of 36.7 degrees Celsius. Tourists enjoyed various beach activities and water parks to escape the heat. The meteorological office warns that high temperatures and tropical nights will continue.
