In Ulsan, South Korea, intense heat warnings have persisted for eight days, attracting over 3,000 people to local beaches to cool down on July 5th. With daytime temperatures predicted to reach 36 degrees Celsius (approximately 97 degrees Fahrenheit), visitors enjoyed the refreshing seawater, sunbathing, and playing beach games. Many sought relief from the heat by taking a swim, while others relaxed with friends and family or took their pets for a walk. The heatwave has also contributed to a rise in heat-related illnesses in the region. This influx of beachgoers marks the busy opening weekend for the local beaches, like Dong-gu Ilsan Beach and Ulju-gun Jinha Beach.
