KFC Korea is set to expand its non-burger product line by introducing 'Kenchizza,' a new chicken-pizza fusion menu item aiming to rival the sales of its popular Zinger Burger. Despite past failures with similar 'Chizza' concepts due to inconsistency in taste across stores, KFC has succeeded in standardizing the recipe using a unique approach inspired by hockey puck assembly. They plan to patent this process. 'Kenchizza' combines crispy chicken fillet topped like a pizza with ingredients such as cheese, tomato sauce, and pepperoni. It will be launched on November 8. Furthermore, KFC Korea has seen success abroad with 'Kenchibap' in Mongolia and Taiwan. The company, which posted a record revenue increase of 17.7% last year, is now up for sale by its current private equity owner for approximately 400 billion KRW.
