ALP Bio, a Korean company specializing in the contract development and manufacturing of OTC drugs and health functional foods, has acquired the first domestic patent for a combination of probiotics and functional oil in an enteric soft capsule. These capsules enable the survival of probiotics at room temperature for 18 months, overcoming previous challenges related to heat sensitivity. The capsules improve bioavailability by releasing components solely in the intestines and maintain a low content change rate during long-term distribution, making them suitable for international exports.
