Geumdang-do, located in the Jeollanam-do province of South Korea, is renowned for its stunning coastal views and unique rock formations. A popular route includes hiking across the four major peaks: Gongsan, Geumdangsan, Samnangsan, and Obongsan. This challenging trek is approximately 10 kilometers and takes around 5 hours to complete, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding islands in the Dadohae (a region of many small islands). Due to the lack of shade and the intense heat from the ground, it's advised to carry enough water and start early. Geumdang-do is also famous for its "Eight Scenic Views," capturing its cultural and natural beauty. This destination, part of historical travel writings, continues to attract adventurers and nature lovers.
