Jeju Tourism Organization awarded appreciation plaques to five individuals and one company for their contributions to improving the image of tourism in Jeju. Among the honorees were Yun Nam-ho, a Lotte duty-free shop manager at Jeju Airport, who performed CPR on a 70-year-old woman who collapsed, and Yang Jun-seok, a bus driver who safeguarded and returned a lost item to a Taiwanese tourist. Additionally, police officers from Jeju Police Department were recognized for assisting lost Chinese tourists, and Jeju Shinhwa World offered upgraded accommodations to travelers delayed by bad weather. These acts of kindness demonstrate Jeju's commitment to welcoming and safe tourism experiences.
