Song I-Seul, winner of the Presidential Award (Calligraphy Category) at the 23rd Nim Ui Chimmuk Calligraphy Exhibition, started calligraphy at the age of 8. She has dedicated her life to perfecting her calligraphy art, driven by the endless beauty and charm it embodies. As the director of Insang Character Art Research Institute, Song continues her journey with a firm commitment to create remarkable works. Her academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in calligraphy from Kyonggi University and a PhD in calligraphy aesthetics from Daejeon University. A member of several art associations, her accolades include the Korea Calligraphy Hanmadang Grand Prize and the 5·18 National Calligraphy Competition Presidential Award.
