French Author Bernard Werber Debuts Performance in Korea

French author Bernard Werber, beloved by Koreans, is set to debut his first performance with a classical music ensemble called Sejong Soloists. The performance, 'The Age of Chimera: Imaginary Future of New Humanity,' will take place on November 27th at the Seoul Arts Center. It is based on Werber's upcoming novel 'The Land of Chimera,' which imagines a future where hybrid creatures—combinations of human and animal DNA—exist after a third world war. Werber will narrate the story in French, complemented by musical compositions inspired by his novel. English and Korean subtitles will be provided. Werber expressed excitement about directly experiencing the audience's reactions and the unique blend of literature and music. He hopes it conveys a message about breaking cycles of violence and changing consciousness. The collaboration represents an innovative project combining storytelling with classical music, appealing to fans of both mediums.
