From July 3 to August 2, Gallery Sanghee in Seoul hosts a group exhibition featuring artists Kurt Fritsche from Germany, Natalie Sasi Organ from Thailand, and Minyoung Won from South Korea. The exhibition, titled "Soft Forgetting," delves into the delicate moments between memory and forgetting. Each artist explores these themes uniquely. Fritsche uses sculpture and photography to depict change and loss, including engraving old images on coins. Organ presents forgotten narratives in mainstream history through installations and paintings, revealing familial and collective memories. Won, based in Seoul, captures subjective and fleeting memories in her paintings, expressing complex emotions and moments of misunderstanding through imagery like cherries.
