In 2024, corporate support for arts and culture in South Korea increased by 1.8% to 212.5 billion won, according to a survey by the Korea Mecenat Association. However, there is still an imbalance in the distribution of funds across genres with visual arts and exhibitions increasing while support for non-mainstream arts decreased. Support was concentrated in Seoul and the metropolitan area, with less funding for non-metropolitan regions. KT&G and Samsung Cultural Foundation were major supporters, with projects and spaces promoting diversity in the arts.
