The city of Ulsan has announced the appointment of art critic Lim Chang-seop as the new director of its city art museum. Lim, who has served in various roles within both the private and public art sectors, such as director of the Korean Galleries Association and artistic director of the Cheongju International Craft Biennale, will hold the position for two years until June 30, 2027. His appointment follows a public recruitment process aimed at enhancing the museum's profile as a forward-thinking, interdisciplinary art space. Ulsan officials express confidence that Lim's extensive experience will elevate the museum's status. The Ulsan City Art Museum is entering its fourth year since opening.
