From July 14 to 20, the Lee Sang-sook Gallery presents a solo exhibition by artist Im Cheol-hee titled 'Portrait'. Known for his artistic exploration of human emotions and existence through portraits, Im blends realistic depiction with abstract elements. His work visualizes the deconstruction and recreation of negative emotions in the human psyche. Recently, he has expanded his artistic spectrum to abstract painting, using chaotic colors and dismantled forms to provoke contemplation on the essence of human existence and emotional beauty. The exhibition showcases his broadened artistic approach, combining traditional portraiture with experimental abstract art.
