The 'DMZ Peace Trail 200K' relay race was held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, together with the Korea Tourism Organization, to promote the beauty of the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) Peace Trail to the world. The event took place without overnight breaks on April 27-28, featuring a team of popular influencers, including fitness creator Sim Euddeum and ex-national short track skater Kwak Yoon-gi, completing the 200 km track using GPS smartwatches. This relay race is a preview of the 'KDT (Korea Dulle Trail) RACE 4500,' a large-scale trail running project scheduled for November. The challenge highlights the scenic nature and message of peace represented by Korea's northernmost trail section along the DMZ, with plans to transform Korea's diverse trails into global trekking tourism brands.
