Jeongseon, once an isolated area in South Korea's Gangwon Province, became famous as the wedding site of actors Won Bin and Lee Na-young and the filming location for the popular variety show "Three Meals a Day" (a Korean entertainment program). The barley fields in Deok U-ri, once a beloved photo spot, have recently been mowed to make way for new crops. Visitors lament the missing fields but are comforted by nearby green barley fields in Nakseong-ri, which are accessible just 8 minutes by car. These fields are located on a charming island in the river Jijangcheon. The barley here is soft and still unripe, offering a unique walking experience as the tender stalks brush against the skin. Visitors can enjoy tranquil walks, picturesque village scenes, and even encounter local wildlife on this serene trip. Jeongseon is also known for its culturally significant "Jeongseon Arirang," a song rooted in the area’s historical past during the Korean Joseon period.
