Recent developments in South Korea indicate a rise in delivery food prices, particularly affecting chicken, a popular delivery item. Due to increased brokerage fees and delivery charges, many restaurants are adopting a dual pricing system, charging more for delivery orders compared to in-store prices. This approach, known as the delivery pricing system, has led some restaurant chains like Mom's Touch and BHC Chicken to raise their delivery menu prices. Although BBQ and Kyochon Chicken haven't implemented this system yet, they are observing market trends closely. Statistics show that while overall consumer prices rose by 16% since 2000, restaurant food prices have jumped by 25%, with chicken increasing by 28%.
