New Novel 'Honmono' Tops Bestseller List in South Korea

Long novel 'Honmono' by Seong Haena has become the top bestseller in South Korea this week. This is the first novel since Han Kang's 'The Boy is Coming' earlier this year to achieve the number one position in the overall bestseller category at Kyobo Bookstore. Following it are novels by Kim Aeran and Kim Geumhee in second and third place respectively. Yoo Si-min's 'Youth's Reading', which held the number one position for 5 weeks, has dropped to fourth place. The interest in domestic novels is rising, particularly among female readers in their 30s and 40s.
