Yecheon, a region known for its peaches in Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea, has begun to ship its peaches for the season. The area’s inland climate with significant temperature variations and fertile soil provides ideal conditions for producing high-quality peaches. The Yecheon peaches are famous for their sweet taste and juicy texture, making them popular among consumers. Over 110 farms work on approximately 104 hectares to cultivate these peaches. Efforts to enhance farm income and regional agricultural competitiveness continue, focusing on stable production conditions and market expansion.
