Everland, a major theme park in Yongin, South Korea, has become the country's first theme park to introduce reusable cup usage to reduce single-use items. This initiative follows a voluntary agreement with the Ministry of Environment and Yongin City from March. Starting with takeout drinks, the use of reusable cups will gradually expand to direct and partner stores within the park. Returns are facilitated at 60 locations throughout the park, such as entrances, exits, and near attractions. The park expects to cut down on over 2 million single-use cups annually through this program, providing an opportunity for children and teenagers to engage with environmental protection and resource circulation education. Everland plans to inform visitors about the initiative through various channels like its website, social media, and large screens within the park.
